Restaurant
As one assumes from a renowned country hotel, the local-typical cuisine is tradition at Gmachl. Our guests may enjoy a "refined native cuisine" supplemented with healthy vital-dishes for our fitness-conscious guests. Austrian specialities are as much a part of the menu as is freshly caught fish from the local waters. Our guests rank the meat dishes from amongst their favourites; our own hotel butcher vouches for best quality and freshness. The family Gmachl also attaches particular importance to our finely selected wine cellar - which is mainly stocked with the choicest Austrian wines.
Several parlours and guest rooms to choose from:
Georgi parlour
particularly under locals this traditional Wirtsstube is a popular meeting place. The valuable antique wall panel originates from Tirol.
Biedermeier parlour
one gladly stops by for coffee and cake. Ideal for intimate small parties and celebrations.
Dorfstüberl - Hotelbar
An ideal place for a solid snack or a cool beer "in between". The connection to the in-house butchers makes the Dorfstueberl equally popular to locals and guests.
Fire-place room
Amid the stylish cellar vaults one dines on local and international dishes especially prepared for you by the Gmachl chefs.
Salzburger Stube
This non-smoker restaurant is reserved for the guests from the Wellness-area Vitarium, between 14.30 and 17.30. There are special vital dishes and small snacks on the menu. A direct entrance from the Vitarium permits the Salzburg room to be the "bathrobe restaurant" during these times.
Guest garden
In Hotel Gasthof Gmachl's guest garden one dines at lunchtime or in the evening under sweeping chestnut trees. There is a choice of menu or ? la carte. In the afternoon you may be tempted to cakes, pastries and coffee or choose from the smaller menu.
Special rooms for up to 70 persons are available for family celebrations or company festivities.
