However, even outside of the festival season Salzburg is a stage for numerous classical concerts. Concert halls brimming with atmosphere such as the "Schloß Mirabelle" or the Fürstenzimmer"(prince room) of the fortress "Hohensalzburg" are played in all year round. Prominent on the program are the works of Salzburg's famous composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

A highlight in the Salzburg concert happening in January is the annual Mozart week. The international trust Mozarteum dedicates itself ten days long to the cultural inheritance of the famous Salzburg composer.

Apart from the classical concerts, international pop stars, musicals or shows gladly visit Salzburg.
