Stiegl´s Brauwelt (Brewery World)
Brewery-experience, beer museum and beer-tasting.
Austria's only beer museum is to be found in the Stiegl's brewing world. Here the visitor experiences the thousands of years old history of the culture beverage, beer.
In the former Stiegl Malt house which opened in 1492, one learns many worth knowing facts about the art of producing beer. The original 'experience brewery', the 'world of the beer', the impressive 'Stiegl museum', the cosy 'Stiegl's brewing room', 'Stiegl's Braushop' as well as the 'oozing with atmosphere' 'Stiegl's Braugewoelbe' are presented, in and around the in total 3,500 m² site.
The 'beery' discovery journey begins in the 'experience brewery'. All ingredients of the domestic beer are explained: Brew-water, barley, hop and malt. The experience brewery still operates today, particularly if it involves, limited special beers as for example the bio Paracelsus beer.
In the 'world of the beer' the largest beer tower of the world is to be seen. 500 years brewing tradition are brought to the visitors in the 'Stiegl museum'. After the tour you can satisfies your thirst in 'Stiegl's brewing room', where you can sample Stiegl specialties.
